Puu O Kaimuki Mini Park, or known to some as Christmas Tree Park, is a very small plot of open grass in the business district of Kaimuki. Based on size alone, many would not consider this area a park at all; just a small plot of land that sits atop a hill behind a local fire station. If it wasn't for a sign displaying the name, it would appear you were trespassing in someone's big backyard. A tall metal frame stands in the middle, possibly an old antennae of sorts, where Christmas lights are hung during the winter season. Not too many people, not even locals, know of this place. But the few that do seem to say the same thing: "So many good memories there."
We at Christmas Tree Park Records would like to leave the same impression of nostalgia with every title. Hardly a record label and highly non-corporate, CTP Records is an outfit based in Kaimuki releasing music recorded by artists based in Hawaii. For the sake of simplicity, we are basically a close friend of our local music community.
